How majjha Research works
majjha Research is the research desk of majjha. It publishes evidence-forward analysis of prediction markets — accuracy, price formation, settlement integrity, market structure. Every factual claim is verified against a primary source before publication, sources are labeled by their weight, numbers are stated with the scope they were measured in, and published pieces are maintained, with corrections tracked through a machine-readable updated date. This page is the standard every piece on this shelf is checked against.
Verification, before publication
Every factual claim is verified against a primary source before it enters a draft. Papers are read, not summarized from memory; press releases and annual reports are quoted from the document itself. If a claim cannot be traced to a primary, it does not ship.
Sourcing runs on two tracks. Each piece cites the field's canonical literature — however old — and is separately checked against the most recent two to three years of research, adversarially: the question asked is not "does newer work exist?" but "does anything newer contradict this?" Older sources stay only where they remain load-bearing. And when newer research contradicts a canonical source, the piece says so — and states which evidence is more current, more directly applicable, or narrower in scope, rather than quietly preferring either.
Numbers are scope-bound. A quoted figure is checked for what it is actually bound to — which sample, which test, which period — not merely for whether it appears somewhere in the source. Currency figures appear only when drawn from a named primary, cited at the point of use, and stated in the source's own metric and period. If a source reports volume for one venue, one period, or one class of contracts, the piece states that scope — a number is never promoted from a sample to the category.
Sources are labeled by weight. Peer-reviewed work, working papers, preprints, and company documents are identified as what they are, in the text and in the source list. Thin or provisional sources may inform a piece; they are not allowed to carry one alone.
Every piece passes adversarial review before publication — independent checks on claims, sourcing, and consistency with everything else published on this shelf, run before a draft is approved.
What this desk does not publish
majjha Research cites the published third-party record only. It does not publish majjha's own performance data, and it does not name or score individual venues in its analysis. The standards described in these pieces are written for readers to apply themselves, to any venue, including majjha — the desk's job is to publish the standards, not to hand down venue rankings.
Corrections and updates
Published pieces are maintained, not abandoned. When a cited working paper is later published, a figure is superseded, or a category fact changes, the piece is edited and its updated date is set — that date is machine-readable on every article. Material corrections are noted in the text. The live shelf is swept for supersession on a regular cycle.
